Exploring Sentosa – The Disneyland of Singapore

There are a lot of reasons why Singapore is such a lovely travel destination but a major one would be the Sentosa island – one of the top attractions of Singapore. Known for its leisure attractions, divine beaches and beautiful landscapes, Sentosa Island is surely going to give you a breath-taking experience. With over 20 million tourists visiting the place each year, it calls for one of the most visited tourist destinations when it comes to holidays. The most interesting thing about it is –

It is HUGE!!

Point to be noted. I personally haven’t been to Disneyland so I can say for sure that this is by far the biggest amusement park I’ve seen or rather a whole damn amusement island or whatever it categorises into. I believe it deserves a category of its own. Because here’s the kicker –

#TravelTip: Sentosa is so huge that it takes 3 – 4 days just to explore the entire island of Sentosa. So plan your Singapore trip accordingly.

That is, if you intend to visit every part of the island. Which I’d say is very much worth it. I made the mistake of visiting Singapore only for 3 days; out of which 2 were spent in Sentosa. So I couldn’t fully explore either the city or the island.

It takes about an hour to drive down to Sentosa from the main city. So a corollary of the above travel tip, if it hasn’t already occurred to you,

#TravelTip: If you intend to cover most of Sentosa for 3-4 days, just stay in a resort in Sentosa instead of the city.

That will be a bit more expensive but will save you an hours drive down to the island each day.
